Cards in the air

The mentalist hands out a deck of cards to a spectator for inspection. He then writes a prediction on a sheet of paper, folds it and leaves in sight. The spectator shuffles the cards and the throws them all in the air. All the face down card that land on the floor are eliminated. This process is repeated various times until only one face up card is left… it will be the one predicted by the magician!
